Keyword by keyword: some up, some down

Not every metric moved in one direction this period. Stated plainly:

  • 升降尾板 安裝 貨車 香港 價錢 (tail lift installation price): coverage 72% → 98%, rank #1.9 → #1.4 — the biggest gain this period, and one of last period's weak spots
  • 尾板維修 報價 香港 免費檢查 (tail lift repair quote): rank #1.2 → #1.1, moving closer to first

In short: overall coverage and average rank both rose, while individual keywords moved by 1–3 percentage points in either direction. That range is normal sampling variation and should not be read as a win or a loss for a single period — which is exactly why we monitor weekly on the same scope and read the trend rather than a single point.

Why coverage rose while SOV fell

The two metrics measure different things:

  • Coverage (95.7%) is your own performance — how many questions you appear in
  • SOV (35.3%) is a relative share — how much of the total conversational volume is yours

The trend chart shows competitors gaining mentions over the same window (the ET line climbs from a low base to roughly 17 at the end of the chart, and DDD Tail reaches about 10). The overall market is generating more AI mentions. Our absolute mention count is still the highest of the four lines, but a larger denominator pulled our relative share down slightly.

SOV moved from 36.8% to 35.3%, a difference of 1.5 percentage points — like the keyword ranks, within the range of normal variation, and it needs several more periods before a direction can be called.

Search ads also started this week (disclosed)

We also began running search ads this week for the first time.

We are disclosing this because it is a new variable: ads and GEO work are now running at the same time, so if rankings improve further it cannot honestly be credited to one of them alone. Therefore:

  • this period's figures are not attributed to ads or to GEO work as a single cause
  • monitoring continues on the same scope (1 website, 3 aliases, 5 keywords), and we will look at several more periods before drawing a conclusion

Citation trend (19.08–30.09)

The trend chart shows our brand line (blue) starting near zero on 19.08, rising to a high in early September, and staying above 20 for the rest of the period — higher than every comparison brand throughout. At the end of the chart (30.09) the blue line sits around 22, still the highest.

How to verify

The figures above are taken from the 30.09.2026 GNS-GEO report, compared on the same scope (1 website, 3 aliases, 5 keywords). You can reproduce them yourself:

AI answers change over time and the numbers move; GNS-GEO monitors weekly and compares on the same scope so the trend stays comparable.

Summary

As of 30.09.2026: coverage 95.7%, AI mention rank #1.3, and 5/5 keywords cited — both coverage and average rank are the best they have been. SOV eased to 35.3% because competitors' mention volume rose over the same period.

This is also the first period running alongside search ads, so we are not drawing a conclusion from a single period. To see where your own brand actually stands in AI search, start with the free AI visibility report.

FAQ

What are the figures in the latest New Win Tec report (30.09.2026)?

Coverage 95.7%, AI mention rank #1.3, SOV 35.3%, with all five target questions still cited by AI (5/5). Compared with 24.09: coverage 90.4%, rank #1.4, SOV 36.8%.

Why did coverage rise to 95.7% while SOV fell?

The two metrics measure different things. Coverage is your own performance — how many questions mention you. SOV is a relative share — how much of the total conversational volume is yours. Our absolute mention count is still the highest of the four tracked brands, but competitors (ET, DDD Tail and others) also gained mentions over the same period, so our relative share eased from 36.8% to 35.3%.

Search ads started this week — does that affect the numbers?

It is a variable, which is why we are disclosing it. We started running search ads for the first time this week. We will not attribute this period's movement to any single cause, whether GEO work or ads, and we will not draw a conclusion from one period. Monitoring continues on the same scope so the trend, not a single point, drives the read.

Are there screenshots to verify this?

Yes. This post includes two real screenshots from the 30.09.2026 GNS-GEO report: the dashboard (coverage, AI mention rank, SOV and the 19.08–30.09 citation trend) and the five-keyword performance table. Reproducible queries are listed as well.
